Episode Notes

27: Born a Crime by Trevor Noah

Linda and Nancy bask in the glow of their time together in Nebraska for the world premiere of Nancy's play, This Mortal Life Also. Soon enough, though, they get down to the April book: Trevor Noah's Born a Crime. Linny wanted to do this book because she loves Trevor Noah and was excited to learn more about him. In fact, Linny reveals how Trevor has been an inspiration for her. Nancy's favorite parts of the book were those where she learned how it was to grow up under Apartheid. Linny loved the sections about little Trevor. Linny also loved Trevor's mom and the way she parented Trevor. Linny described the book as "hilarious" but Nancy admitted it was actually a sort of sad book for her to read given the oppression so many suffered. All in all, both Linny and Nancy highly recommend this book!
